- Turn off power, and remove glass.
- Locate the hex bolt behind the Tie Figher on the spring and carefully remove it, releasing the tension in the spring.
- With the tension released, you will slide the spring cover in with the horizontal portion of the bracket on top of the spring but below the metal plate. The photo below shows the placement from behind the Tie Fighter.
- Align the post so that it comes through the Spring cover bracket and back into place. The tricky part of the installation is realigning the post, the spring cover, and the plate so the holes line up. Once all are aligned and the post is protruding through the top of the metal plate, tighten the hex bolt behind the Tie Fighter and installation is complete.
