DANGER ELECTRICAL SHOCK
Pinball machines have high voltages which can cause DANGER TO LIFE AND LIMB. TURN POWER OFF and UNPLUG PINBALL MACHINE prior to installation. Pinball machines are high voltage and can cause electrical shock.
SAFETY GLASSES are also recommended while working with or installing pinball parts.
Please follow these safety instructions as well as all installation instructions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in damage to the pinball machine, accessory or other parts. When removing screws from the playfield, reinstall by first turning them counter-clockwise to match the original groove in order to respect the integrity of the playfield wood.
- Unlock back box (the wire will feed under it).
- Locate the J7 and J6 connections in the backbox. The photos here show an example of where they are found on one game.
- Remove plugs J6 and J7. J6 is on the right and J7 is on the left.
The harness with the two connectors on the end will be plugged into the back box.
Plug the J7 (left) and the J6 connectors (right) into the pins on the CPU board.
Take the J7 and J6 connectors for the pinball machine and plug it into the 2nd connector on the harness.
Twist the J7 wire 180 degrees and feed it under the tilted back box on the right side. Twist the J6 wires 180 degrees and feed it under the tilted back box on the left side (this step may require assistance from a second person).
Feed both wires down along the outside of the cabinet as shown.
Connect the other end of the harness to the MEZELmods Flasher Bus. Connect the J7 harness to J7 pins on the Flasher Bus. Connect the J6 harness to J6 pins on the Flasher Bus.
Clean the underside of the cabinet to remove residual dirt with a damp cloth. Remove the protective plastic from Velcro on the underside of the kit. Adhere the kit to the bottom of the cabinet.
Push slack from in cables from the harness into the back box to minimize the amount of wire hanging out the back box. Installation is complete!
Turn machine back on and enjoy the light show.
