When removing screws from the playfield, reinstall by first turning them counter-clockwise to match the original groove in order to respect the integrity of the playfield wood.
NOTE: This product requires the replacement of one of your stock GI white clear dome bulbs with a frosted white dome bulb. For best results, we select a replacement location that is hidden below a playfield plastic. If you prefer not to utilize the replacement bulb, a set of alligator clips can be utilized instead. Please note that alligator clips are not intended for permanent connections and can come loose potentially causing shorts.
Installation Steps:
- Remove the existing metal piece on the playfield shown in the photo below.
- Run the wire through the playfield (see arrow) and utilize a hex driver to remove one of the two GI bulbs shown circled in the photo below. Both bulbs are located under the playfield plastics and are not visible above the playfield.
- Remove the existing bulb by pushing in slightly while twisting and replace with the bulb provided. Push in and twist until it locks into place. You can also adjust the height of the bulbs dome so that it is closer to the top of the bayonet. Reattach the bayonet to the bottom of the playfield.
- Attach the plug from the LED board to the connection on the bayonet and installation is complete! Double check that the light is working by turning the power back on. The product should light when the games General Illumination comes on. If you experience illumination issues, double check the wiring coming in and out of the white connectors to be sure they are pushed in fully.
- Lower playfield- installation is complete!

Installed Donut Heaven in my Getaway HS II but the permanent lighting option does not work. I connected it to the GI bus but it does not light. The flasher option works ok. Your thoughts? Thanks.
I guess nobody id going to answer this one. Kristin maybe?
Hi John- so sorry for the delayed response! Our original response to this question was incorrect- in order for the Donut Heaven to work not the GI, it will need a 6v LED. The current version is 12v and does not work with GI.
I'm happy to swap your out for one with the proper LED if you'd like! Please let me know!
