12v/5v Spike Power Tap Jared Villalobos May 24, 2018 19:23 Updated Follow Materials 12v/5v PCB Converter 3D printed converter bracket 1.5 ft wire (red & black) 2, 5in wire (red & black) 2, 3 pin female molex, large 4, female molex pins 2, 5 pin IDC, large Step One: Electrical Attach molex pins to 5in wire segments Insert pins into molex, picture provided for orientation (5v & 12v; DMD is for specific adapter) P1 - Negative P2 - 5v P3 - 12v Loosen 12v and 5v screws on converter and insert 5in wire into corresponding slots, tighten screws. Be sure to observe polarity and voltage Attach IDC to 1.5 ft wire: Feet out P1 - Negative P2 - Open P3 - Jumper P4 - Jumper P5 - Positive Attach Z-connect. Pin under channel 2 is cut. Locking feet 1 & 5 are cut. Loosen screws on GND and IN+ screws, insert 1.5 ft wires, tighten screws. Be sure to observe polarity Step Two: Glue/Assemble/Paint Glue PCB into bracket. See picture for orientation.
