When removing screws from the playfield, reinstall by first turning them counter-clockwise to match the original groove in order to respect the integrity of the playfield wood.
1. Removal of Mounting Screws
Three screws will need to be removed for the Arcade Sign installation. All of the screws are in the back left corner of the playfield.
The back left screw will need to be removed in conjunction with a 5/16 wrench or a pair of pliers. The nut is on the bottom side of the plastic.
2. Feed the power line through the playfield
The power cable from the arcade sign will pass through the playfield in the hole for the standup target that is just below the center of these three mounting screws. First, remove the included replacement general illumination bulb from the cable.
Next, pass the wire through the backside of the hole such that the wire does not effect the performance of the standup target.
3. Mount the Arcade Sign using the screws removed in step #1
Replace the screws in the same fashion, this time with the arcade sign bracket on the top of the ramp plastic.
Use care when reattaching the nut to the back left screw - as the space is very tight and you do not want to damage the bracket or arcade sign.
4. General Illumination Bulb Replacement
After you've successfully secured the Arcade Sign, lift up the playfield and rest it in a comfortable position for doing some work underneath the game. For our game we recommend using the following GI blub for replacement:
You are free to use a GI bulb of your choosing on the game, but this is the bulb that we recommend based on our experience. Using either an appropriately sized socket, or a flat head screw driver, remove the mounting screw of the GI bulb.
Remove the existing bulb and replace it with the included one.
Next, mount the bulb back onto the playfield using the same screw. Make sure to fold the matrix connector backwards such that it goes underneath the playfield!
Plug in the wire from the Arcade sign and pull any remaining slack through through the hole.
