When removing screws from the playfield, reinstall by first turning them counter-clockwise to match the original groove in order to respect the integrity of the playfield wood.
- Zip Tie
- 12" matrix extender
- ILS board
- Matrix bulb
- ILS bracket
- Speaker Creature
- Start by lifting the playfield. In the following image we will be identifying and removing the bulb and replacing with our own matrix bulb. Once the bulbs have been swapped, replace the harness where you found it.
- Attach the ILS bracket to the ILS.
- Attach the ILS to the matrix bulb you installed in step 1.
- Unscrew the identified screw and attach the ILS bracket. Be sure that the sensor of the ILS is between the pop bumper flasher LED and the insert. If your mod isn't flashing with the pop bumpers this is the most likely cause.
- Attach the 12" matrix extender to the ILS.
- Fish the open end of the matrix extender through the oval hole. This hole leads to the optic sensor of the right ramp.
- Lower the playfield and we'll wrap this up on the top side. Find the wire you fished through the hole in step 6 and pull it through. Try to follow the OEM wires that are already there.
- Identify the screw we will mount the Speaker Creature to. Remove the screw and mount the mod. As you tighten the screw, you will notice the hands lift up. Tighten the screw enough so that the hands remain down. Later on, when we replace the glass, if the glass hits the mod, loosen this screw.
- Fish the matrix wire from the mod behind and under the ramp. There is a post holding the ramp on near sparky. Using the provided zip tie, attach the matrix wire to the post. Be sure the wiring is tight under the ramp so it doesn't interfere with gameplay. Snip the loose material from the zip tie.
- Attach the matrix from underneath the playfield and the mod. For loose wires, you have two options. You can stuff them under the ramp or go under the playfield and gently pull the wire from the ILS board back under the table.
