When removing screws from the playfield, reinstall by first turning them counter-clockwise to match the original groove in order to respect the integrity of the playfield wood.
- Turn off game. Remove glass from playfield.
- Place the Pinball Cabinet Assembly Protectors on each side of the machine. Next remove the pinballs from the trough. Then lift the playfield into the upright position.
- Locate the drop target which can be found in the bottom left side of the game. This area has been circled in order to find the area.
- Locate the GI bulb as seen in the image below. Unscrew the bulb from it's position and set the screw in a secure location. Remove the GI bulb from the socket. Place the included matrix bulb into the socket.
- If you have selected an option with a clear/red drop target, remove the drop target mechanism from the machine by unscrewing the four woodscrews that hold the mechanism in place. - If you have selected just the illumination, then skip to step 12.
- Remove the two connectors that are connected to the drop target and place the mechanism in a secure location to remove the original drop target.
- Remove the two screws that hold the signal board in place and place them and the board in a secure location.
- Remove the two black tabs, plus the washers and spring and place them in a secure location.
- Remove the long spring from the original drop target and place it on the clear/red drop target. Then place the drop target onto the mechanism and secure the spring into place.
- Readd the washers, spring and black tabs to the mechanism, then reattach the board from step 7 onto the mechanism.
- Resecure the drop target mechanism by screwing the four woodscrews from step 5 back into their proper locations. Then reattach the two connectors removed in step 6 back into their proper locations.
- Underneath the drop target mechanism are two screws. Locate them, and unscrew the screw on the right side. The screw is circled in the image below. Place the screw in a secure location. We recommend a magnetic screwdriver for the removal of the screw. If you have difficulty with this process, you can remove the drop target mechanism (shown above).
- Place the drop target bracket on the hole for the screw and then screw the woodscrew back into place that was removed in step 12. We recommend that the bracket be in a slightly off center position, but it can be adjusted to let more light in should you desire that.
- Connect the 6" matrix wire attached to the drop target assembly to the matrix bulb from step 4. Screw the woodscrew from step 4 back into place. You can place any addition wire along the wire harness and zip tie it into place using the red zip tie provided.
- Install completed. Enjoy your target illumination!
